Otto Jabelmann is famous for being the chief designer of Union Pacific's Big Boys.
There is a great deal of confusion over how "Otto Jabelmann" is pronounced. I have heard it pronounced in 4 different ways. My educated guess is that his German name was anglicized when living in America.
